Workers at Acrylicos Vallejo have successfully negotiated a pre-agreement ensuring salary increases, parental aid, workplace harassment protocols, and improved safety measures after a 26-day strike.
The alleged conditions at Vallejo's factory included dangerous working environments, noncompliance with Spanish law, lack of essential amenities, and falling ceiling panels, leading to worker discontent.
Union president Patricia Pérez described the company's safety protocols as biased, claiming they unfairly portrayed harassment victims as perpetrators, contributing to an authoritarian atmosphere.
Following a lawsuit filed by CGT due to unsafe conditions and unreasonable production expectations, one employee who complained about safety was allegedly fired for 'low productivity'.
