Our first step in expanding player choice is removing forced stealth from almost all quest objectives. This doesn't mean that sneaking is no longer a viable or even preferable option in some cases.
The latest developer diary details why the developers nixed the forced stealth feature, allowing players to transition into combat if caught while sneaking instead of being reset to the last checkpoint.
Players can now shoot their way through unfriendly syndicate districts instead of being required to sneak, adding to a more immersive sim gameplay style.
Weapons picked up in the field will remain accessible for longer, and headshots now deal additional damage with the ability to target specific body parts for bonus damage.
