Son's love of construction inspires father to open Dig World
Briefly

Dig World, located in Katy, Texas, is the state's first construction adventure park where both children and adults can experience operating real construction machinery, such as excavators and skid-steer loaders. Founded by Jacob Robinson, the park was inspired by his son Pierce's disabilities, aiming to create an inclusive environment for families, especially those from the special needs community. The park seeks to provide enjoyment and learning opportunities for everyone, regardless of their physical abilities, fostering a sense of community and adventure in construction.
"The special needs community is near and dear to my family's heart," Robinson said. "We wanted an opportunity to create a park for everybody."
The founder, Jacob Robinson, wanted to create a park that anyone can enjoy. His son, Pierce, suffers from physical and cognitive disabilities after contacting bacterial meningitis when he was two.
Dig World in Katy is the only construction adventure park in Texas, offering kids and adults the chance to operate excavators and skid-steer loaders.
Dig World is located at 5000 Katy Mills Blvd. You can find more information on ticket prices on its website.
