Sonic X Shadow Generations combines a remaster of a 2011 game with a new title for 2024, both echoing elements of 2000s Sonic games while maintaining a sense of exhilarating speed.
While the games share some shortcomings from the past Sonic titles, such as unnecessary mechanics and a lackluster story, they succeed in providing enjoyable platforming experiences.
