Disney announced an official Star Wars map that showcases hundreds of planets, including classic locations like Coruscant and newer ones such as Ghorman and Exegol. This map updates an earlier version from 2009 and aims to serve as a comprehensive guide to the franchise's diverse settings across films, TV shows, and video games. As Star Wars continues to expand its universe post-2012 acquisition by Disney, this interactive tool will aid fans in navigating the vast, frequently evolving canon of the Star Wars galaxy.
Star Wars fans can now explore the franchise's far (far!) away galaxy in detail, as Disney has revealed the official map for the franchise. It includes hundreds of planets--ranging from iconic locations like Coruscant and Naboo to recent additions like Ghorman and Exegol--and the official Star Wars site says that it plans to periodically update the map.
Things have been somewhat murky since George Lucas sold the franchise to Disney in 2012, as several of the stories--and by extension, their locations--have been consigned to the non-canonical Star Wars Legends expanded universe, while Disney has forged ahead with establishing its own continuity across the sequel trilogy, the High Republic era, and other transmedia projects.
