RoadCraft is a vehicle simulation game that combines elements of construction and off-road driving. Players can tackle a variety of terrains and obstacles while managing their vehicles. The demo available during Steam Next Fest showcases approximately three to four hours of gameplay, with additional challenges based on the player's skill level. Unlike traditional driving games, RoadCraft emphasizes the building of roads and manipulating the environment, akin to ecosystem management. This game is designed for those who enjoy both the challenge of rugged terrains and creating their own paths, much like other Saber Interactive titles.
It's not my fault... I've now moved the rocks that were blocking the way, so it wouldn't try to drive over them on two wheels like an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard in which everyone's wearing high-vis tops.
RoadCraft is a bit like its weird, bovril-drinking siblings - SnowRunner, Expeditions, the other ones. You know, those Saber Interactive games... pointed at a thing halfway across a big map.
Its Steam Next Fest demo gives you a taste of about three to four hours worth of this kind of muddy bottom-kicking. Or five to six if you're like me, have decided to play solo.
RoadCraft's spin-off calling card is going more in-depth on letting you pretend to be Bob the Builder. Get ready to build your own roads, chop down trees.
