"In one of the earliest Grace sections in the game, the FBI agent wakes up in a care center crawling with zombies and the living results of grotesque experiments. One of them is known as the Girl. She's a giant monster that chases Grace throughout the facility with childlike fixation. She wants to "play" with Grace, which means she wants to eat her."
"If you repeatedly try to lure the Girl into a lit room, she will first recoil at the light and retreat, but eventually she'll climb into the ceiling and tear the wiring out of the overhead light. This forces you to leave the room that once seemed safe, or else become cornered by the monster and killed."
Resident Evil Requiem features intense horror sequences where players face grotesque monsters with limited defensive tools. Grace, an FBI agent, encounters the Girl, a giant creature that hunts her through a zombie-infested care facility. The Girl initially avoids overhead lights, which burn her skin, creating temporary safe zones for players. However, the game prevents players from exploiting this mechanic by having the Girl eventually climb into ceilings and destroy the light fixtures, forcing players to abandon their safe havens. This adaptive enemy behavior eliminates predictable strategies and maintains tension throughout gameplay.
