Nintendo has announced the Switch 2, the successor to the highly successful Nintendo Switch, scheduled for release in 2025. The new console retains a portable design and introduces features like magnetic Joy-Cons and a larger display. Importantly, it maintains backwards compatibility with its predecessor's games. While the design remains similar, enhancements like a second USB-C port and a headphone jack have been added. A full reveal is anticipated during a Nintendo Direct on April 2, following considerable speculation about its upcoming features.
