Netflix is bringing Red Dead Redemption to mobile
"Another one of Rockstar's greatest hits is coming Netflix. On December 4th you'll be able to play Red Dead Redemption and it's zombified standalone DLC Undead Nightmare for free as long as you have a Netflix subscription. The news broke when prolific video game news hound Wario64 found listings for the game on the iOS and Android store. And it seems like Netflix isn't the only one that'll let you ride horses with John Marsten."
"Wario64 also found that Red Dead Redemption has appeared on the ESRB website with ratings for the PS5, Xbox Series, and the Switch 2. No word yet on when those versions will be released. Read Dead Redemption launched in 2010 on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. In 2023, the game was ported to the Switch and the PS4, and ported to PC in 2024."
Red Dead Redemption and its Undead Nightmare standalone DLC will be available on Netflix for subscribers beginning December 4, according to storefront listings in mobile stores. ESRB entries show ratings for PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2 versions, though release dates for those ports remain unannounced. The original game launched in 2010 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, received Switch and PS4 ports in 2023 and a PC port in 2024, and now appears bound for current-generation consoles. Red Dead Redemption 2 has not received similar current-generation port treatment. Rockstar continues to extend its major franchises across console generations.
