Monster Hunter: Wilds has achieved incredible sales, surpassing 10 million copies within its first month, as reported by publisher Capcom. This places it in close competition with previous titles like Monster Hunter 3. The game is set to receive its first Title Update on April 4th, which will introduce a beloved monster and a new interactive Grand Hub for players. Despite its impressive sales figure, the game has received a mixed reception on platforms like Steam, leaving its potential for long-term success uncertain compared to the franchise leader, Monster Hunter World, which sold 21.3 million by late 2024.
After just a month on sale, Monster Hunter: Wilds has apparently sailed past a mind-boggling 10 million copies sold, according to publisher Capcom.
The first free 'Title Update' will drop on April 4th, adding in 'a fan-favorite monster as well as the Grand Hub, a new in-game settlement.'
10 million copies puts it roughly on par with Monster Hunter 3, although does include its many variants such as the portable version, Ultimate etc.
The true king of the Monster Hunter jungle is Monster Hunter World, which as of December 2024 had hit 21.3 million copies sold.
