Minecraft Adding Live Event And DLC Tied To Movie, Complete With Jack Black
Briefly

In conjunction with the upcoming Minecraft Movie release on April 4, Minecraft is introducing new content including a live event and downloadable skins. The live event, starting on March 25, allows players to interact with characters voiced by actors such as Jack Black and Jason Momoa. Players complete missions in Midport Village and earn loot, like the exclusive Yearn cape for finishing all games. Free skins reflecting film characters and a downloadable DLC world with various game challenges will also be available to enhance gameplay experience.
The live event transports you to a custom Minecraft realm that is the home of Midport Village, where you interact with the movie's characters, going on missions and earning exclusive loot for use in the game.
Minecraft is adding downloadable content from the film, as well as a live event and even a free skins pack so you can look like the movie's characters.
If you manage to complete all five games within the mode, you'll earn an exclusive item, the Yearn cape.
In addition to the live event, there's plenty of free downloadables waiting for you in the game on March 25.
