Marvel's Wolverine Will Reportedly Be Shown During September's State Of Play
"According to Insider Gaming, a new trailer for Wolverine has been finished for a potential debut at State of Play. Sony already had a State of Play this week for 007: First Light, and it hasn't yet announced plans for another one this month. Insider Gaming acknowledged the possibility that Wolverine's trailer could be pushed back to The Game Awards in December if the next State of Play isn't scheduled for this month."
"[We would] love to talk more about Wolverine," said Dezern. "We have to be like Logan today, and remain very stoic until it's time to pop the claws down the road ... As much as we're as much as we have pent up excitement, we got to hold on to it. So that's about as much as we could say about our upcoming projects today."
A new trailer for Wolverine has been finished and could debut at Sony's State of Play near the end of September, with a fallback to The Game Awards in December if not shown. Insomniac confirmed Wolverine is set in the same universe as the three Spider-Man games on PS4 and PS5. Unofficial leaks emerged after a 2023 Insomniac breach, and subsequent work reportedly altered the game. Previous reports indicate Insomniac may make Wolverine M-rated to better serve the character's violent nature. Wolverine will be released on PlayStation 5 but currently lacks a release date.
