The upcoming Mario Kart World for the Switch 2 might feature a reverse mode for its courses, which could serve as a replacement for the beloved Mirror Mode from previous games. A recent Japanese commercial hints at this new feature by showcasing a reversed version of Mario Bros. Circuit. The addition of a reverse option would double the confirmed number of tracks, boosting them from 32 to 64, enriching the iconic Grand Prix gameplay experience. Development began initially for the Switch, revealing more than 50 new characters and adding up to 24 racers in a race.
Mario Kart World may introduce a 'reverse' option for courses, potentially replacing the series' Mirror Mode, but Nintendo hasn't confirmed officially yet.
