Konami is set to hold its summer showcase, Konami Direct, on June 12, livestreaming new updates on anticipated titles like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and Silent Hill F. This comes as Konami revives its gaming portfolio after a quieter phase, producing compilations and acclaimed remakes. Future projects include the much-anticipated Metal Gear Solid 3 remake and a new Silent Hill game set in rural Japan. Also notable is the ongoing demand for a new Castlevania and clarifying the status of the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2.
Konami has announced that it'll be holding its own summer showcase, Konami Direct, and this will kick off on June 12 at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET.
The last couple of years have seen Konami bounce back into the spotlight following several relatively quiet years.
These include the remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater--scheduled to release on August 28--and a brand-new Silent Hill game that shifts the survival-horror from a sleepy US town to rural Japan.
A new Castlevania game has been on the wishlists of fans for many years now--there hasn't been a new game on home console since 2014's Lords of Shadow 2.
