How to get shiny Rayquaza in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Shiny Rayquaza, in black and gold, will be available in five-star Tera Raids from Dec. 20 until Jan. 5, a rare opportunity for players.

The last shiny Rayquaza outside Japan was distributed in 2015. Unlike Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, shiny hunting Rayquaza is notably absent in Scarlet and Violet.

You can only catch one shiny Rayquaza per Tera Raid battle, so strategize your participation to maximize your chances.

To participate, players must complete the main story of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and connect to the internet in the Poké Portal.
