To ascend to your Ascendancy class in Path of Exile 2, you'll need to complete the Trial of the Sehkemas in Act 2, which is unlocked after defeating Balbala, The Traitor. Ensure to pick up Balbala's Barya coin, as it’s essential for entering the trial. Completing seven challenges and defeating a boss is required for success. You also have an 'honour' life total; if it reaches zero, you will fail and must restart.
Once you complete the Trial of the Sehkemas, you can interact with the Altar of Ascendancies to choose your class and receive two Ascendancy points. To earn additional points, complete the Trial of Chaos at the Temple of Chaos in Act 3. This trial is unlocked after defeating Xyclucian, the Chimera, and you’ll need the chimeral inscribed ultimatum dropped by the boss to enter.
