Hideo Kojima, known for his innovative work in video games, is currently busy with several projects, notably Death Stranding 2 and a film adaptation of the series. In a recent interview, he revealed that 'Physint', a new stealth-action game, is in development but unlikely to release for another five to six years. He expressed a desire to direct films in the future as a homage to his cinematic upbringing, but emphasized the priority of his current projects, especially Death Stranding 2 releasing in June 2024.
"Besides Death Stranding 2, there is Physint in development. That will take me another five or six years. Maybe after that, I could finally decide to tackle a film."
"I grew up with cinema. Directing would be a kind of homage to it. Besides, I'm getting older, and I would prefer to do it while still young."
