Due to technical issues, linking Steam accounts to PlayStation Network was optional. Now it's mandatory for safety and security reasons, enabling bans for disruptive behavior and appeals for banned players.
New Helldivers 2 players must link accounts from May 6; current players starting on May 30. Sign-in prompts will guide players to create or link PlayStation Network accounts.
