Helldivers 2 is locking out players who use older CPUs
Briefly

Players of Helldivers 2 are experiencing issues due to the game's new requirement for AVX2 support, affecting those with older CPUs. While previously playable, newer software enforcements now prevent access, causing frustration among long-time players. Discord discussions have surfaced concerns, with many expressing discontent over being locked out of a game they enjoyed for hundreds of hours. Developer responses point to users' hardware outdatedness, but many players feel pushed into costly upgrades. Last year's PSN account imposition on PC was also met with resistance, indicating a pattern of controversial decisions from Sony.
I don't like to have to tell people their 13 year old processor is out of date. You should never be surprised if your out of spec machine can't run the game.
600+ hours in a game I love just to be locked out is making me so frustrated to the point I just want to ask for a refund instead of fixing their mistakes.
