Fortnite Chapter 7 overhauls the Battle Royale loot pool with mostly new weapons and novel item types. Epic introduced boss kits that drop from defeated NPC bosses and remain locked in inventory until the round ends or the holder dies. Boss kits change player appearance to match the boss, increase health and stamina, and grant a manually activated boss-specific ability while broadcasting the holder's location on the map. Three boss types currently spawn and rotate randomly across five locations: Ripped Tides, Classified Canyon, Painted Palms, and both sides of the lake east of Wonkeeland. The Self-Revive Kit delivers a major gameplay shift.
