Mark Rein negotiated the original licensing deals that enabled the crossovers and credited Epic's legal team while emphasizing the design and development team's vision. Studios agreed to participate after trusting Fortnite's developers and accepting the audacity of using beloved intellectual property. Fortnite Chapter 7 launches with a Hollywood-themed reset that foregrounds these licensed collaborations.
