Square Enix officially announced the much-anticipated remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics, titled Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles, during the PlayStation State of Play. Set for release on September 30, 2025, this new edition features an updated user interface, a new 'Squire' difficulty setting to assist new players, and extensive story adjustments. Additionally, it will offer a 'classic' mode retaining the original graphics and gameplay. Fully voiced dialogue and other enhancements are also included to modernize the beloved RPG, which originally launched in 1997.
