FBC: Firebreak, the latest co-op shooter from Remedy, is confirmed for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with potential future considerations for Nintendo Switch 2. Game director Mike Kayatta emphasized current focus on launch development while leaving the possibility for Switch 2 open. The game is designed to perform well on lower-end PCs, aligning with its aim for Steam Deck verification. Set for a summer release, FBC is a mid-priced game featuring free post-launch DLC and ties to Remedy's Control series, with characters potentially crossing over. Subscription services PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass will offer it at launch.
Speaking to Kotaku, Kayatta said, "We are very busy in developing the game for the launch. So we haven't given the Switch 2 any thought at this point, but things can always change in the future."
FBC releases this summer, and it'll be available at launch through the subscription programs PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass, as well as to buy outright. It's a "mid-priced" game that will have free post-launch DLC along with paid cosmetics.
