Dune: Awakening Devs Are Reimbursing Players After Accidentally Turning A PvE Zone Into PvP
Briefly

Funcom recently altered Dune: Awakening, converting part of the PvP Deep Desert zone to PvE. A subsequent patch reverted areas back to PvP, resulting in player losses of bases and equipment. Funcom admitted this was an oversight and plans to reimburse players through the in-game rewards system. The developer is also focusing on fixing exploits, enhancing gameplay features, and addressing player support requests. A change in internal processes is expected to prevent future mistakes and improve communication with players.
Funcom has acknowledged an oversight in their development process that led to unintended PvP areas in Dune: Awakening’s Deep Desert. Players experienced loss of bases, equipment, and vehicles.
To mitigate player losses, Funcom will reimburse vehicles and items affected by the patch and provide them through the in-game 'Claim Rewards' tab.
Future updates will target all identified exploits, enhance quality of life features, and resolve various gameplay issues such as account spoofing and item duplication.
Funcom has recognized the backlog of customer support requests and is striving to handle reimbursement and support tickets promptly.
