Double Dragon Revive, a remake of the classic arcade brawler, will include a bonus game titled Double Dragon Dodgeball for pre-orders. This game, inspired by Super Dodge Ball, preserves the pixel art aesthetic and features 56 characters from the series. Enhancements include a new Story Mode and multiplayer options. While eagerly anticipated by fans, it’s noted that there won’t be a Nintendo Switch version available. The remake is set to release on October 23, and retro enthusiasts can still enjoy original versions of Double Dragon on various consoles.
Double Dragon Dodgeball is a revised version of the addictive Super Dodge Ball, and will be free to anyone who pre-orders Double Dragon Revive.
The bonus game features 56 characters from the Double Dragon series and features similar arcade-perfect gameplay as Super Dodge Ball.
Double Dragon Revive has been on my radar for ever since Arc System Works announced it was bringing the 1980s arcade brawler back on the best games consoles.
If you can't wait for the remake, you can play the original Double Dragon and NES versions on some of the best retro consoles.
