"Diablo 4's segment in the big Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight was among the biggest, even if the reason most of us tuned in was somewhat spoiled earlier in the same livestream. Blizzard unveiled the Warlock, the second of two classes coming to the game with the upcoming Lord of Hatred expansion. The first class, being the Paladin, is already available to play for anyone who pre-ordered the expansion,"
"The Warlocks are positioned as the opposite of the Paladins, in that they don't mind utilising forbidden knowledge, drawing on the powers of Hell itself to fight its own overlords. The Warlock is the edgy, antihero counterpart to the Paladin's purity and devotion to the Light. What we did get to see was our first look at Skovos, the expansion's new region. This Mediterranean-inspired location is where the new story arc will unfold,"
Lord of Hatred introduces the Warlock as an antihero class that harnesses forbidden knowledge and Hell's powers, contrasted with the Paladin. The Paladin is playable now for players who pre-ordered, while Warlock access begins when the expansion launches in late April. A dedicated livestream to showcase Warlock gameplay, lore, and abilities is scheduled for March 5. The expansion adds Skovos, a Mediterranean-inspired region that will host the new story arc and serve as a post-credits endgame destination. New endgame features include War Plans, a customizable playlist and progression system, and Echoing Hatred, a rare horde-style event. Expanded class skill trees will benefit all players.
