Assassin's Creed Shadows statue pulled over 'insensitive design'
Briefly

PureArts announced a redesign of their statue for Assassin's Creed Shadows after backlash over its insensitivity towards Japanese historical imagery, specifically regarding the atomic bombing.
In an apology posted on Twitter, PureArts stated: "We appreciate and have learned from the concerns... we are currently reworking the design of the Qlectors Assassin's Creed Shadows Yasuke & Naoe."
Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Shadows faced controversy for its portrayal of history, especially concerning its representation of characters Yasuke and Naoe, leading to public complaints.
The original statue featured a broken torii gate, which some Japanese commentators felt inappropriately mirrored the destroyed Sannō Shrine from Nagasaki, further fueling the outrage.
