American Gaming Association Reports $72 Billion In 2024 Gambling Revenue

In 2024, the U.S. commercial gaming industry achieved a record revenue of $71.92 billion, a 7.5% increase from the previous year, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth. President Bill Miller highlighted the industry's strength, despite a rare monthly revenue drop in December of 2% attributed to lower sports betting revenues. In-person gaming led the revenue with $50.32 billion, while online gaming saw significant growth, contributing $21.54 billion. The anticipated total revenue including tribal gaming is projected to be $115 billion, showcasing the continued upward trend in both sectors.
"By all accounts, 2024 tells a positive story about our industry's strength and momentum," President and Bill Miller said in the group's 'State of the Industry' webinar as part of the release of the 2024 Commercial Gaming Revenue Tracker. "Commercial gaming continues to demonstrate unprecedented, continued success."
