A year on from Malevelon Creek's memed-to-death liberation, Helldivers 2 pulls the trigger on sending players back there to stop the bots achieving "greatest net desecration"
Briefly

Helldivers 2 has returned to the battleground of Malevelon Creek as it marks the one-year anniversary of a significant military conflict that has become a part of the game's lore. Players are tasked with protecting this storied location from an automaton onslaught led by flamethrower-wielding bots known as the Incineration Corps. This renewed fighting coincides with the Malevelon Creek Memorial Day, a tribute to the many fearless Helldivers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Arrowhead has introduced new strategies to aid players defending the planet during this time-limited event.
Now, the enemy seeks to defile their graves—obviously having calculated that seizing the planet on the upcoming Malevelon Creek Memorial Day would result in the greatest net desecration.
As of writing, players have just over five days and two hours left to secure Malevelon Creek and keep it under Super Earth control "by any means necessary."
Arrowhead's also dished out a new stratagem to everyone that might help you if you're dropping in to help hold off the bots.
