A new Lord of the Rings tabletop game is on the way from the creator of Pandemic
Briefly

Scheduled for release in June, The Lord of the Rings: Fate of the Fellowship is a new tabletop game designed by Matt Leacock, known for his work on Pandemic. This game invites 1-5 players to engage in cooperative gameplay, embodying characters who must protect Middle-earth from dark forces while guiding Frodo on his quest to destroy The One Ring. Featuring an array of components including 13 characters and an iconic Barad-dûr die tower, the game reflects Leacock's personal connection to Tolkien's works and his growth in game design over 25 years.
"Fate of the Fellowship will feature thematically rich cooperative gameplay," Leacock wrote, explaining the crux of the game on his official blog.
"This feels like things coming full circle for me," Leacock wrote. "I started my cooperative games journey after playing Reiner Knizia's The Lord of the Rings game in 2000."
