Mike De Luca, one of the bosses at Warner Bros., has now commented on plans for a sequel. He told Deadline that Warner Bros. is planning a sequel to A Minecraft Movie 'imminently.' The same is true for a sequel to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, he said.
Jared Hess expressed his excitement, stating that making a sequel would be 'so much fun,' emphasizing the 'expansive' world of Minecraft with plenty of story possibilities that were not yet explored.
Hess further noted, 'There were so many things that we didn't tap into that we wanted to,' indicating a wealth of narrative potential for the sequel.
