Venture firm Material Impact said it has raised a $352 million fund to back companies developing so-called deep technology, which is focused on innovations in science and engineering.
The Boston-based firm said its investment partners have science backgrounds, which will give them a leg up in a sector that is increasingly drawing interest from generalist investors.
