
Embracer plans a third consecutive year of splitting into separate entities, creating Embracer and Fellowship Entertainment. The spin-off aims to increase management focus to capture the full joint potential of IPs, their communities, and top game developers. Fellowship Entertainment will hold major franchises including The Lord of the Rings, Tomb Raider, Metro, Dead Island, Deus Ex, Time Splitters, Thief, and Legacy of Kain, along with their studios. Embracer will retain other franchises such as Destroy All Humans, Desperados, Gothic, Killing Floor, Kingdom of Amalur, Wreckfest, and additional titles. The transformation began in 2024 with earlier brand and tabletop gaming separations, followed by the Coffee Stain spin-off in May 2025, after which remaining assets were rebranded as Fellowship Entertainment.
"“The main rationale to spin-off Fellowship is to increase management focus to capture the full joint potential of the IPs, their respective communities and some of the best game developers in the world,” Embracer chairman Lars Wingefors wrote in a letter to shareholders on May 20 following the release of the company's latest, less-than-impressive earnings report. “Just like Asmodee and Coffee Stain, we believe Fellowship Entertainment will thrive the most by becoming its own standalone business.”"
