Driventic: former Voith Turbo commercial vehicles branch becomes independent company (and debut at Busworld) - Sustainable Bus
"Following the spin-off of the Commercial Vehicles division of Voith Turbo, the new company Driventic is born, with drive technologies for commercial vehicles as core business. Driventic's debut will be celebrated at Busworld Europe 2025. The company officially will enter the market on November 1, 2025 as a spin-off from the Commercial Vehicles division of Voith. Not many information have been shared so far: at the moment the new company has a Linkedin profile and a - quite empty - website."
"The Voith Electrical Drive System for buses, developed and offered until now by Voith's Commercial Vehicles division, will become part of Driventic's portfolio. It powers over 1,000 e-buses in UK as of July 2025, as it was adopted by both domestic manufacturers Alexander Dennis and Wrightbus. Also Otokar turned to the VEDS for its e-Territo. Voith business units for industrial, marine, and rail applications will remain part of Voith group."
Driventic forms as a spin-off of Voith Turbo's Commercial Vehicles division and will enter the market on November 1, 2025. The company will debut publicly at Busworld Europe 2025 and will present its corporate identity along with previews of upcoming products, systems, and digital services. Driventic aims to become a wholly separate entity under new ownership while Voith Group divests from the commercial vehicle sector. The Voith Electrical Drive System (VEDS) becomes part of Driventic's portfolio and powers over 1,000 e-buses in the UK. Driventic operates from Heidenheim and 25 other global locations and develops integrated drive solutions for conventional and electric powertrains.
