Delft-based cleantech startup Tarnoc has raised €1.2M in funding to expedite the launch of its Turbine Heat Pump, a sustainable heating solution aimed at making homes gas-free. Founded in 2019, the company is focused on scaling production and completing its initial commercial projects. The innovative heat pump integrates with existing infrastructure, minimizing disruption for users. Its design aligns with both national and EU climate objectives by providing high-temperature heating without emissions, aiming to facilitate the energy transition in urban areas.
"What once started as a dream, building a solution that allows us to make all homes natural gas-free easily and quickly, is one step closer," says Vincent Wijdeveld.
"We work very hard to make that mission come true. And now it really starts: in the coming period, we will do everything we can to prepare the Turbine Boiler for commercial launch."
