Dark Matter adds AI agents inside Empower LOS
"By managing the secure communication layer—identity, permissions, monitoring and auditability—we give lenders the freedom to innovate with AI on top of Empower while maintaining full control and compliance. This is the foundation lenders have been missing."
"This capability allows teams to use AI to surface information faster, reduce manual effort and support day-to-day workflows—all while keeping humans firmly in control of lending decisions. It's all about driving measurable efficiency gains without introducing new compliance risk."
Dark Matter Technologies has launched a managed gateway system using open-source MCP to securely connect AI applications to its Empower loan origination platform. The gateway handles critical security functions including user identity validation, permission enforcement, data access limitations, and comprehensive audit trails for all requests. Dark Matter manages infrastructure and monitoring while lenders independently build and deploy AI agents. These agents enable natural-language queries about pipeline status, tasks, and upcoming closings with access restricted to authorized information. The system supports connections to other internal platforms including CRM, servicing, and billing systems. This approach allows lenders to innovate with AI while maintaining compliance, control, and security. The capability is now available to Empower LOS customers through the Dark Matter Developer Platform.
