Amazon Ring faced a surge in customer-support calls during the prior holiday season and evaluated over 40 AI voice vendors before selecting Vapi. Ring routes 100% of inbound calls through Vapi’s platform. Ring engaged Vapi in mid–Q4 while deciding whether to expand call-center capacity, increase reliance on traditional automated systems, or deploy AI agents that respond more naturally. Ring’s customer satisfaction scores improved after deploying Vapi, and teams were able to tune the AI agent experience without relying on engineering. Vapi raised a $50 million Series B led by Peak XV Partners at about a $500 million valuation. Vapi offers tools to build, deploy, and manage voice agents for customer support, lead qualification, appointment scheduling, and outbound sales.
