In defense of text parsers, I believe that if a game is designed intentionally to make good use of a text parser, it can really open up the possibilities for ways in which you can think about interacting with the world.
The Crimson Diamond brilliantly demonstrates that, when used effectively, a text parser can actually enhance our connection to a game, making interactions feel more meaningful and engaging.
