This Copenhagen House Might Be the Most Colorful Home in the World
Briefly

Furniture designer Jakob Mizrahi transformed his 1964 home from a basic Nordic style to a vibrant showcase over 10 years, using paint and vinyl. Initially trained as a pianist, he began designing 1980s-inspired furniture around 2015, developing skills through passion and practice. Influenced by the Memphis group, Jakob now creates without focusing on specific decades or styles but rather buoyed by inspiration and creativity, crafting unique pieces that reflect his artistic growth and love for design. His journey illustrates the power of pursuing passions and the blending of diverse creative outlets.
Even though I trained as a classical pianist and composer many years ago, I have always had a thing [for] designing stuff. So as another creative outlet than music I started building 1980s-inspired furniture in my shed around 2015. Even though I didn't really know how to build anything, I continued and got better and better at both building and vinyl wrapping.
Today I'm self-employed doing exactly that, and I love it. As I mentioned I started out a decade ago being very influenced by the Memphis group and 1980s design in general because it was new and refreshing and a huge contrast to basically everything else at that time.
