The UX job market REALLY sucks right now

The UX bubble has finally burst, and the once thriving market for design roles has collapsed, leaving many previously confident applicants facing unprecedented rejection rates.
After conducting my twenty application test, I was shocked to find I received no interviews at all, a first for me despite my extensive experience in the field.
Running the same test with a junior mentee’s resume confirmed my fears; the job market is significantly tougher than it has been in recent years.
As a seasoned job-search artist, I've traditionally aimed for 20 applications with tailored resumes, but this quarter's outcome underscores a worrying trend in the UX design field.
