Quzhou No.6 Experimental School / LYCS Architecture
Briefly

The Quzhou No.6 Experimental School, designed by LYCS Architecture, presents a radical redesign of traditional educational layouts. Spanning 67,500 square meters, this campus includes a primary and middle school, focusing on an open and flexible environment. Contrary to standard spaces, the design incorporates the 'Tree of Growth' metaphor, creating interconnected areas such as public and semi-public spaces. By integrating a street-like layout that encourages movement and social interaction, the school aims to enrich student experiences and foster a culture of discovery in learning.
The design introduces the concept of a 'street', a meandering main street and secondary paths that navigate level changes weave through the campus.
The core design goal of this project is to create an open and flexible campus environment that encourages observation, exploration, and communication among students.
