Managing failures: how to handle job application rejections like a pro
Briefly

I was one of those people who shifted completely towards different career path, from advertising to UX. It took me 6 months and roughly 100 rejections to land my first job in UX, and today, it became a testimony for everyone who often ask during an ADPList session whether it's possible for them to start learning UX so 'late' in their career journey. It is definitely possible, but not without a cost.
Job rejections ≠ failures To me, job hunting process is quite similar like fishing. There are some things that you can definitely control (the quality of your bait, the tools, the hook, the fishing location, etc.) whereas on the other hand, many aspects are so deep within the water that you will never have the control over (the fish, the weather, quality/ visibility of water, etc.). Just because you don't manage to catch a fish on your first attempt, does not mean that your bait is not good enough.
