Interview with Petr Kaplunovich, Director of Design at Stackpoint, ex-Google, MIT
Briefly

Petr, originally from Chelyabinsk, Russia, is now a leading designer in the American tech landscape with a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. His journey into design was non-linear; influenced by advice to pursue a more stable path in physics and engineering, he found his passion for design through organizing events and side projects. Mentored by industry veterans at exciting startups, he learned the importance of user empathy and attention to detail, qualities that define his work as the Director of Design at Stackpoint.
Anyone would be lucky to have Petr on their team. He is the type of designer who learns new technology before it is even released, and takes time to teach his peers.
While studying at MIT and taking entrepreneurship class, I met Paul English, a cofounder of Kayak who got me into the Boston startup world, and taught so many things about product and attention to detail.
