The last design book I read was 'Don't Make Me Think' by Steve Krug and that was quite a while back. I wish I had picked up more design books since then. I have prepared a list of books that I plan to read this year. Better late than never, right?
Back in the day, I began by making one watercolor card every day, and eventually, I made enough cards to sell at a concept store called 'Maya Ko Chino'. It turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience. Likewise, my mentor - anjhero (Anjan Shrestha) started his Instagram page 'ButtaHaru' which translates into 'Patterns'. He consistently designed a unique pattern each day for 365 days. Be sure to check out his impressive work!
