Before implementing a carousel, decide if it's the best way to present your content. Sometimes, a static content section performs much better for users than a carousel.
People typically start to scroll shortly after they land on a new page, so place the most critical piece of content in the first slide.
Carousels that rotate without user input can frustrate users who are focusing on content. Ensure there's an option to pause auto-rotation.
Too many slides can overwhelm users; keeping the total number of slides manageable (3-5) is often a good approach.
