Canva says its new AI features justify raising subscription prices by 300%
Briefly

Canva Teams, marketed as a comprehensive solution for design bottlenecks and collaboration issues, is set to see price hikes for the first time since 2020, in some cases soaring by 300%.
Canva's spokesperson stated, 'Canva Teams has come a long way since launching in 2020. Our original pricing reflected the early stage of this product and has remained unchanged for the last four years. We're now updating the price for customers on this older plan to reflect our expanded product experience.'
The price hikes are attributed to new features, particularly AI-powered tools. The spokesperson noted that the platform has made significant enhancements in team collaboration and brand management.
In the U.S., the Teams subscription price will jump from $119.99 to $500 annually, while in Australia, costs could rise over 400%, from $323 to $1,636 per year.
