The 'School of Lovers' focuses on creating comfortable spaces of articulation for differently-abled populations around sexuality and intimacy, emphasizing mutual recognition and trust.
Together with Theatre Hora, we created a curriculum based on somatic sex education to ensure accessibility for people with cognitive impairments regarding discussions of intimacy and boundaries.
Desire is often framed in an ableist context. To discuss it meaningfully, we must first ensure foundational understandings of intimacy and body awareness.
Our work is participatory and instructional, rooted in deep personal narratives to foster inclusive dialogues about sexuality for individuals with diverse abilities.
