YouTube will switch to crowdsourced content moderation similar to X's community notes and will stop using third-party fact-checkers. Alphabet informed House Judiciary leadership that senior Biden Administration officials repeatedly contacted the company about user-generated COVID-19 content that did not violate platform policies. Alphabet called that outreach unacceptable and said YouTube will restore several suspended conservative accounts, including Dan Bongino, Sebastian Gorka and Steve Bannon. The company stated that YouTube values conservative voices and recognizes their extensive reach and role in civic discourse. Separately, a presidential claim linking Tylenol to autism briefly depressed Kenvue stock before a rebound and intensified PR efforts.
