After viewing a portrait of himself in Colorado's state capitol, Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction on social media, claiming it was distorted. Critics lambasted his reaction, dubbing him fragile and insecure. Art critic Sebastian Smee acknowledged that while the portrait may appear below average, it still resembles Trump well, noting that it shows him looking jowly. Smee, along with various social media users, suggested this resemblance could be a source of Trump's dissatisfaction. Despite Trump's claims about the artist's motivations, the governor did not commission the portrait.
Nobody likes a bad picture or painting of themselves, but the one in Colorado was purposefully distorted to a level that even I, perhaps, have never seen before.
This painting is aesthetically below average, even bad, but still offers a decent resemblance of the 45th and 47th president.
