Several hundred thousand documents are scheduled for release on Friday, with several hundred thousand more expected over the next couple of weeks. Multiple lawmakers criticized the partial release and demanded full disclosure, arguing that a 30-day statutory window required release of all files. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said the administration had 30 days to release all files and called the partial release illegal. Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene urged release of all files, saying releasing them is "literally the law."
